Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Koshi Kataski (ranked 3864 p4p, 5058 weight class) and Wesley Hess (ranked 297 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesley Hess will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Koshi Kataski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wesley Hess! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hess drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hess looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hess is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kataski has escaped the position, nice work there. Kataski is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kataski is working hard here to advance position. Kataski is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kataski moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kataski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hess is aware though and is defending well. Kataski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kataski keeping moving, preventing Hess from controlling successfully. Hess got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kataski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hess has managed to get both his arms back between Kataski's legs - danger averted. Hess is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kataski working for a triangle but Hess defends it easily.
Hess is posturing up here but Kataski has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hess tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hess has to tap! Slick submission there by Kataski!
