Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Donovan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gjergj Kastrioti!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan dodges the punch combination from Kastrioti.
Donovan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A head kick misses from Kastrioti.
Donovan throws a body shot but no joy.
Donovan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kastrioti manages to avoid it.

Kastrioti has Donovan up against the cage in a clinch.
Donovan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kastrioti is trying to maintain a safe position but Donovan gets an underhook and turns Kastrioti into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donovan avoids the elbow strike from Kastrioti, against the cage.
Kastrioti blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kastrioti's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kastrioti breaks the clinch.
Daniel Donovan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kastrioti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Donovan.
Kastrioti takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kastrioti misses with a head kick.
Kastrioti closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Gjergj Kastrioti has been cut.
Donovan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kastrioti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Donovan jabs Kastrioti to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Daniel Donovan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Donovan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Donovan throws the left hand but Kastrioti avoids the punch easily.
Kastrioti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Donovan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Donovan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Donovan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kastrioti misses with a head kick.
Donovan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kastrioti.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Donovan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kastrioti.
Kastrioti throws a body shot but no joy.
Donovan lands a really nice looking cross but Kastrioti seems unphased.
Donovan swats away the attempt to clinch by Kastrioti.
Kastrioti swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Donovan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kastrioti circles away quickly and effectively.

And that's the end of the fight!
Daniel Donovan showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Donovan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Daniel Donovan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
