The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Mayker clinches up with Kooljak and pushes him back against the cage.
Kooljak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kooljak seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to King Kooljak.
