Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsura Onigawa!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Onigawa.
Daerji fires out a quick counter leg kick but Onigawa just manages to avoid it.

Daerji misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Daerji shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Onigawa eats them both and turns towards Daerji to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right-left combo lands from Daerji.
Horrible takedown attempt by Daerji or perhaps it was just good defense by Onigawa, which made it look bad.
Onigawa is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Daerji fails with a takedown attempt.
Onigawa tries to counter with a clinch but Daerji shakes him off and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xi Daerji. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daerji dives in for a single leg takedown but Onigawa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Onigawa drags the fight down to the ground.

Onigawa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Onigawa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Daerji tries to stand but Onigawa is controlling from the bottom.
Onigawa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daerji defends well.
Daerji sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Onigawa has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Daerji doesn't defend quickly enough and Onigawa has managed to lock this one up! Can Daerji escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Onigawa on a fantastic submission victory.
