Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Castillo (ranked 25434 p4p, 3416 weight class) and Scott Tolzien (ranked 534 p4p, 399 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Tolzien!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tolzien changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Castillo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tolzien closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Castillo is trying to pull guard but Tolzien has him pressed against the cage.

Tolzien is pressed up against the cage. Castillo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tolzien down to the mat. Tolzien avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Castillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tolzien swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tolzien doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tolzien connects with a body shot that sends Castillo's belly button to the back.

Castillo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Tolzien ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tolzien drops Castillo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Castillo looks back up at him and smiles so Tolzien waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Joey Castillo has been cut.
Tolzien has Castillo up against the cage in a clinch.
Tolzien lands a left hand.

Castillo takes a shot to the head.

Tolzien creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Castillo with a big uppercut! Castillo tries to clinch up but Tolzien pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Castillo to the mat! Castillo covers up and Tolzien unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
