Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ziggy Stardust (ranked 3057 p4p, 3147 weight class) and Axel Phelps (ranked 369 p4p, 381 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Axel Phelps was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Axel Phelps!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stardust.
We've been hearing reports that Stardust has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jab by Phelps.
Phelps throws a body shot but no joy.
Phelps moves into the clinch successfully.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Phelps.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Phelps.
Phelps misses with a punch on the inside.

Stardust's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Stardust tightens his grip and picks Phelps up, before dumping him to the ground. Phelps manages to land in guard.
Stardust wants to control from the top but Phelps keeps moving.
Stardust forces his way into half guard.
Stardust looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stardust in particular looking to stall.
Stardust in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Phelps tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stardust!
