The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looked like Jones was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A bone on bone clash there as Rettslag blocks the leg kick.
Rettslag throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rettslag rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rettslag might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Rettslag bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Rettslag.
Fishbone Jones's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Rettslag is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jones had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Rettslag loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Rettslag feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jones sprawling to the canvas! Jones rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rettslag finish him?!
Jones is rocked!

and Rettslag counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
