Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dougie Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mihran Mihranian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mihranian wants to get back to his feet.
Mihranian has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ferguson is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mihranian wants to get back to full guard.
Ferguson passes into side control, despite Mihranian's attempt to control the position.

Mihranian manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mihranian might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ferguson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mihranian wants to clinch up but Ferguson keeps it at a distance.
Mihranian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mihranian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ferguson is squirming around, avoiding Mihranian's attempts to control the action.

Mihranian can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ferguson is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mihran Mihranian just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Ferguson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mihranian's guard now.

Well Ferguson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
