Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jairo Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Missel! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Lynch or perhaps it was just good defense by Missel, which made it look bad. Lynch dives in and grabs Missel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Missel pushes down on Lynch's head and hops out. Lynch shoots in for a double leg but Missel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jairo Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch scores with a leg kick.
Missel closes the distance and clinches. Missel tries to break free but Lynch pushes him back against the cage. A right hand to the body from Lynch.
Missel looking for a takedown. Missel will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lynch up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch tries to pull guard but Missel forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Missel gets underhooks to prevent Lynch's takedown attempt.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Missel. Lynch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Missel moves away. Missel dives in and grabs Lynch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes down on Missel's head and hops out. Lynch tries to clinch up. Missel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lynch gets in close and instigates a clinch. Missel tries for a takedown. No joy.
Missel effectively controlling the action here. Lynch misses with an elbow over the top.

Lynch throws a half hearted mid kick. Lynch with a poor takedown and Missel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lynch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Missel pinned against the cage. Missel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lynch. Lynch is breathing heavily. Missel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Missel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lynch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Lynch. Lynch has his takedown stuffed and Missel counters with a three punch combo that has Lynch backing up. Lynch nods at Missel to acknowledge the strikes. Missel closes the distance and clinches. Missel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lynch is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Missel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lynch fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lynch dives in for a single leg takedown but Missel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Missel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lynch is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Missel manages to pull guard.
Missel is looking to stand up but Lynch isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Missel controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Missel keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully. Lynch gets to his feet - Missel follows without any prompting. Missel pushes Lynch up against the cage in a clinch. A short uppercut from Missel. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Missel is defending well against a takedown attempt. Missel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Missel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Missel dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Missel lands with a good body shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Missel is defended easily by Lynch. Lynch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lynch lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Missel backwards. Missel stalling the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Missel shoots and misses and Lynch moves into the clinch. Missel working hard to break the clinch. Lynch breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch rushes Missel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lynch tries to pull guard but Missel holds him up against the cage and eventually Lynch drops back down to his feet.
Missel wants to break free but Lynch has control.
Lynch has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Missel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Lynch is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Lynch not allowing Missel to control his hands. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Lynch's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch is controlling the position but Missel somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Lynch is trying to control. Missel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Missel actively working from the bottom here. Missel is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Lynch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Missel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to control but Missel is keeping him busy. Lynch is working for a kimura but Missel is defending it quite comfortably.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Missel trying to hold on to Lynch's head to control him but Lynch postures up.
Missel is not content to let Lynch control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Missel is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lynch trying to control the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lynch pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Missel back to the cage. Lynch follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lynch. Missel can't do much from the bottom here. Lynch working the ground and pound but Missel is defending the strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lynch decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Missel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lynch swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lynch seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Nice takedown defense from Lynch. No joy for Missel on that attempt. Lynch explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Lynch misses with a takedown letting Missel counter with a right hand. Lynch plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Missel digs a good hook to Lynch's body.
Missel shoots in looking for a takedown. Lynch tries to sprawl out of it but Missel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lynch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Missel clinches. Missel fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Missel tries to break the clinch but Lynch is controlling the position. Lynch manages to break the clinch.
Lynch lands with a slapping head kick. Lynch swats away the attempt to clinch by Missel. Lynch changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Lynch darts in looking for a takedown but Missel gets double underhooks and turns Lynch into the cage. Jairo Lynch has scored more points in the clinch so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Missel is working for takedown but Lynch is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Missel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Missel jumps guard and drags Lynch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Missel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lynch slips nicely into half guard. Lynch decides to stand up. Missel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Missel smiles and moves away.
Missel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lynch defends it nicely. Missel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Missel keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Missel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Jairo Lynch showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lynch has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
