Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Jovan Chase (ranked 4824 p4p, 25248 weight class) and Allen Douglas (ranked 455 p4p, 515 weight class). Douglas has chosen Pharoahe Monch - Simon Says as his entrance music. Allen Douglas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jovan Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Allen Douglas! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Chase. Douglas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Douglas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chase moves away. Chase connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Chase seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Douglas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chase counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Douglas thinking.
Douglas has closed the distance and engaged Chase in a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the ropes. Chase is trying to break the clinch but Douglas is controlling him. Douglas keeps control of Chase as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Douglas can't find room to land a body shot as Chase controls the action.
Chase is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Douglas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douglas has Chase pressed against the ropes, preventing Chase from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Douglas keeps control of Chase as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Chase is trying to push Douglas away but Douglas has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Chase breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Chase rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Douglas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Douglas tries to close the distance and clinch but Chase swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Douglas is looking to clinch but Chase is avoiding it.
Douglas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Chase lunges at Douglas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Douglas's hand.
 It looks like Allen Douglas has been cut. Chase swings widly with a right hand
and Douglas counters with a left and a right that stings Chase. Douglas misses with a double jab.
Chase slips under a jab from Douglas. Jovan Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chase circles away from the clinch attempt.
Douglas moves in looking to clinch but Chase pushes him off. Douglas tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Chase manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Douglas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chase. Douglas fails with an attempt to clinch.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Douglas. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chase is trying to push Douglas away but Douglas has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Douglas has Chase pressed against the ropes, preventing Chase from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chase is trying to break free. Douglas wants to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Jovan Chase will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Allen Douglas's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

 It looks like Jovan Chase has been cut. Chase takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Douglas misses with a head kick.

Douglas moves into range and clinches up with Chase. Douglas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chase's efforts to push away. Douglas tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chase avoids it. Chase is looking to break free of the clinch but Douglas has double underhooks. Douglas stalling in the clinch but Chase improves position. Douglas goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Chase looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Chase tries to break the clinch but Douglas is controlling the position. Chase working hard to break the clinch. Douglas lands with a light punch inside. Chase wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jovan Chase will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Douglas tries to clinch but Chase moves out of range. Douglas throws a sloppy head kick and Chase moves out of range easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Jovan Chase is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jovan Chase. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chase, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
