Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Beltran (ranked 451 p4p, 619 weight class) and Buddah Joe (ranked 24 p4p, 34 weight class). Mike Beltran has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Beltran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddah Joe! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Beltran. Joe moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Joe blocks a jab. Beltran connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Joe's hands. Beltran works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Beltran's jab looks to have found its range, popping Joe under the eye. Beltran misses with the combination.
Beltran looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Joe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Beltran lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Joe backs up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beltran throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And Joe tries to counter it with a takedown but Beltran pushes his down on his head and steps out. Beltran is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Joe drives through with a takedown into guard. Beltran can't keep his opponent in guard - Joe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Joe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beltran sees it coming and defends easily. Joe content to control rather than advance. Joe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Beltran knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Joe controlling the action here.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Joe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Joe with a nice head shot there. Beltran trying to keep a closed guard but Joe is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe advances position into side control!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Beltran is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Joe's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Beltran is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Joe in particular looking to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beltran is just riding it out for now. Joe eventually gives up the hold. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Beltran will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Beltran is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Buddah Joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Joe is looking to take a break and control but Beltran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Joe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Joe controls the position.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Joe controlling the action here.

Beltran is looking for a sweep. Joe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Joe wants to free his trapped foot but Beltran is holding on for dear life with his legs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight! Buddah Joe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Joe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
