Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bai Li (ranked 1407 p4p, 3708 weight class) and Thomas Holmes (ranked 172 p4p, 401 weight class). Bai Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bai Li!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Holmes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li moves away from the strike by Holmes.
Holmes throws a right hand that misses
and Li counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Holmes looks like he's trying to stand up.

Li slips a nice elbow through Holmes's hands, connecting with Holmes's forehead.
Li working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Holmes is looking to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Li lands a massive shot to the side of Holmes 's head and he's out cold! Li jumps to his feet and milks the crowd!

Bai Li retains his middleweight title!
A relieved looking Bai Li thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
