Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deangelo Strickland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryland Bridges!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bridges slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've been told by Strickland's head coaches at Banzai Combat Academy LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Strickland lunges at Bridges with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bridges's hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Strickland, as that shot connected.
Bridges throws a nice looking combination but Strickland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Strickland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Strickland feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bridgess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A nice inside leg kick there by Strickland. That's going to slow Bridges down.
Strickland uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bridges.
Bridges throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Strickland fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bridges just manages to avoid it.

As Strickland backs off Bridges throws a huge counter combo but Strickland manages to avoid it all.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bridges's coach down at BANZAI COMBAT ACADEMY LAS VEGAS was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bridges's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Strickland feints a jab promting Bridges to slip. Strickland then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bridges slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Strickland's corner calls for a 1-2. Strickland obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Bridges uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Strickland.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bridges! But no joy.

Strickland lands a big head kick that sends Bridges tumbling to the mat! Strickland takes a step backwards and waves Bridges back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Strickland circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bridges to the canvas! Bridges doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Strickland keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deangelo Strickland!
A very excited looking Deangelo Strickland rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
