Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Marshall (ranked 3884 p4p, 3817 weight class) and Bun Sothea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bun Sothea!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sothea stuffs the takedown attempt from Marshall. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet.
Sothea is looking to clinch but Marshall is avoiding it.
Marshall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sothea pushes Marshall off but Marshall dives into side control.
Marshall has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Sothea fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Marshall has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Marshall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sothea sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marshall somewhat.

Marshall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Marshall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
