Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Meni Sapak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sapak works Thomas's body with a nice hook. A punch combination from Sapak misses. A head kick misses from Sapak. Thomas dives in and grabs Sapak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sapak pushes down on Thomas's head and hops out. Thomas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sapak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice takedown defense from Sapak. No joy for Thomas on that attempt. Meni Sapak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Thomas. Sapak throws a series of punches but Thomas moves out of range. Sapak throws a wild body kick that Thomas sees coming a mile off. Sapak fakes the leg kick and cracks Thomas in the body. Thomas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sapak swivels and escapes. Sapak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sapak scoring well with a low kick there.
Thomas looks gassed! Sapak is looking to land body kicks. Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sapak sprawls well. Sapak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet. Thomas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Urijah Thomas has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sapak with a jab. Thomas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sapak pinned against the cage. Sapak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sapak lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas dodges the punch combination from Sapak.
Sapak misses with a low kick.
The crowd cheers as Sapak lands an impressive looking overhand right. Thomas doesn't seem phased though.
That has opened up Urijah Thomas's cut even more. Thomas is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sapak is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Thomas. No joy there for Sapak, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sapak throws a head kick that Thomas semi-blocks.
Thomas is rocked! Sapak fakes the body blow, causing Thomas to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Thomas goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Meni Sapak!
