The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vailine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vailine swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Gough counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gough controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Vailine throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gough uses it to pass to side control.
Vailine wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Gough has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Vailine's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Vailine is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Gough!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Malakai Gough!
