Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 25063 p4p, 2526 weight class) and Rahim Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 255 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gone Guru- Lifeseeker. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rahim Johnson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 38 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rahim Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Johnson.
It looks like Xi Daerji has been cut.
Johnson cracks Daerji with an open hand slap.
Daerji is rocked!
Johnson connects with a leg kick.
Oh Daerji is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Daerji ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
A little jabbing left from Johnson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Daerji shoots and misses
and Johnson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Johnson sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Daerji's defenses. It connects perfectly with Daerji's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rahim Johnson!
After the fight, Rahim Johnson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
