Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trevon Mcdowell (ranked 3406 p4p, 3882 weight class) and James Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into Mcdowell's guard.
Carter trying to control but Mcdowell is working from the bottom.
Mcdowell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Carter passes Mcdowell's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mcdowell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carter.

Mcdowell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mcdowell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mcdowell is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Carter is hurt! He's hurt bad - Mcdowell fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Carter from any more punishment! Congratulations to Mcdowell! Great finish!
