Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Dirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uegaki Reijiro!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dirk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reijiro circles away quickly and effectively.
Reijiro throws an off balance right hand
and Dirk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dirk punishes Reijiro's body with a nice straight punch.
Dirk throws a front kick aimed at Reijiro's knee but Reijiro avoids it well.
Reijiro scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Reijiro counters with a three punch combo that has Dirk backing up. Dirk nods at Reijiro to acknowledge the strikes.
Dirk throws a nice looking combination but Reijiro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Reijiro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reijiro looks to land a left hand but Dirk moved out of range nicely.
It looks like Dirk has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dirk's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reijiro connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dirk scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Reijiro in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Reijiro walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Reijiro limp body while Dirk jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danny Dirk!
Danny Dirk tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
