Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Steelstorm (ranked 4180 p4p, 3061 weight class) and Iskender Aliev (ranked 446 p4p, 367 weight class). Steelstorm comes to the cage accompanied by No cap. Aliev has chosen Bakili Balasiyam as his entrance music. Iskender Aliev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev slips under a jab.
Steelstorm scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Steelstorm misses with a left hand
and Aliev counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Steelstorm tries to kick Aliev off but Aliev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Aliev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Steelstorm knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Aliev moves nicely into side control.
Steelstorm tries to escape but Aliev is in control.
Aliev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aliev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Aliev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steelstorm keeps working.
Aliev tries for a kimura but Steelstorm is defending well.

Steelstorm pushes Aliev away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Aliev gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Aliev tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Steelstorm is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Aliev is controlling him well.
Aliev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Steelstorm is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Aliev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Steelstorm, who protects the arm well.
