Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bart Detweiler (ranked 1010 p4p, 962 weight class) and James Spencer (ranked 129 p4p, 123 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bart Detweiler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Spencer! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Detweiler falls off balance throwing a combination
and Spencer counters with a right hand to the body. Detweiler shoots in but Spencer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Detweiler throws a right hand that misses
and Spencer counters with a right hand to the body. Good standup being displayed there by Spencer as he connects with a hook.
 It looks like Bart Detweiler has been cut. Spencer throws a leg kick which misses Detweiler's front leg but catches the back leg as Detweiler tries to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Detweiler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spencer. Spencer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Detweiler misses with a straight left. Detweiler throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Detweiler backing away here, and Spencer unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Spencer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Spencer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Detweiler. Detweiler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Detweiler misses with a looping right. Spencer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Spencer scores with a nice strike. Spencer scores with a shot to the body.

Detweiler works Spencer's body with a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spencer checks a leg kick. Spencer is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Detweiler rather than just go for the knockout. Spencer lands with a shot to the body.

 Bart Detweiler's cut is getting worse. Detweiler works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Detweiler throws a right and a left that both miss. Spencer throws a shot to the body.
Detweiler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Detweiler looking to land some kicks to the body here.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Spencer lands with a hook. Detweiler tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Detweiler misses with a double jab.
A little jabbing left from Spencer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Detweiler closes the distance and pushes Spencer back into the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Detweiler misses with an elbow over the top.

Detweiler fails in his attempt to clinch. Spencer appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Spencer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Spencer cracks Detweiler with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Spencer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Detweiler to stand back up!

 Bart Detweiler's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spencer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Oh Detweiler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Spencer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Detweiler at a distance.
Detweiler seems to have got his legs back now. Detweiler slips a straight right by Spencer. Detweiler appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Detweiler tries to close the distance and clinch but Spencer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spencer just misses with a punch to the body.

Detweiler swings wildly with an uppercut but Spencer uses good head movement to avoid it. Spencer lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Detweiler goes for a double leg but Spencer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spencer continues to drive forward. Spencer gets through Detweiler's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
 Jeez, Bart Detweiler's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Nice defenses there by Spencer. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Spencer! But no joy. A jab from Detweiler misses. Spencer scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Spencer tries to land a leg kick but Detweiler saw it coming and moves away.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bart Detweiler's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). James Spencer! Post fight, an emotional James Spencer said 'Hope he’s alright- his skull 💀 cracked like a wee egg .'. Bart Detweiler spoke after the fight, saying 'The Athletic Commission just announced my opponent has tested positive for PEDs, so this fight will be declared a No-Contest. Big up to those of us who still fight clean!'.
