Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Schoonie Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Jenkins.
Jones drives through and clinches with Jenkins against the cage.
Jenkins lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jones lands a body shot. I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Jones avoids the elbow strike from Jenkins, against the cage.
Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jenkins's elbow. Jenkins throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Jenkins blocks a body shot from Jones. Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jenkins prevents it.

Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jenkins has his hands on Jones's head, controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jenkins keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jenkins looking for a sweep. Not yet Jenkins, not yet. Jones looking to pass the guard. Jenkins has Jones pulled in close to control his posture. Jones wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.

 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jenkins scores with a leg kick.
Jenkins throws a series of strikes that have Jones backpedaling.
Jenkins misses with a hook to the body
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
 It looks like Schoonie Jenkins has been cut. Jenkins lands with a kick to the ribs.
Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jenkins lands a hook that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Jenkins throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Jenkins gets underhooks to prevent Jones's takedown attempt.
Jones lands with a light punch inside. Come on Jones - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jenkins goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jenkins is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jenkins down to the mat. Jenkins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins avoids it really well and circles away. Schoonie Jenkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jenkins jabs at Jones's body. Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Jenkins. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenkins manages to avoid it. Jenkins raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Jenkins throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jenkins pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jenkins's elbow. Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jenkins's elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Schoonie Jenkins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Schoonie Jenkins's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins pinned against the cage. Jenkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jenkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage! Jenkins throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Jones checks a leg kick nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jones misses with an uppercut. Jenkins saw that one coming. Jenkins throws a counter combo. Jenkins misses with a double jab.
Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to take this one to the mat. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jenkins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short right hand to the side of the head by Jones. Jenkins misses with an elbow over the top. Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Jenkins. Jones working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Jones misses with some punches.

Dan Jones has scored more points in the clinch so far. Jenkins lands a right hand. Jones lands with a right to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jenkins pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jenkins throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jones scores with a counter punch that sends Jenkins to the canvas! Jones smells blood - he's punishing Jenkins with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jenkins has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
