Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enver Karacan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diablo Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Karacan lands a nice shot that snaps Oliveira's head back.
A telegraphed right hand from Karacan misses the target.
Oliveira changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Oliveira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Karacan to counter with a crisp jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Karacan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Oliveira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Oliveira has his takedown stuffed
and Oliveira takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oliveira shoots and misses
and Karacan scores with a counter punch that sends Oliveira to the canvas! Karacan smells blood - he's punishing Oliveira with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Oliveira has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Enver Karacan!
A relieved looking Enver Karacan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
