Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rojesterman Haynes (ranked 2430 p4p, 2965 weight class) and Sean Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rojesterman Haynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Baker! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker tries to clinch up but Haynes circles away and keeps his distance. Nice body kick from Haynes. Haynes pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Baker fails to land with a series of punches.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Haynes. Baker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Baker has Haynes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Haynes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Haynes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Baker uses from the top position. Baker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haynes is adopting a defensive guard. Baker trying to control the position from guard on top but Haynes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker tries to stand but Haynes is controlling from the bottom. Haynes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Baker is now in half guard. Haynes trying to control from the bottom.
Baker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Haynes wants to get back to his feet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Baker decides to return to a standing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Baker slaps away a takedown attempt from Haynes, before circling back to the center of the mat. Haynes has his takedown stuffed and Baker counters with a one-two to the body. Baker fails in his attempt to clinch. Haynes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rojesterman Haynes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baker misses with a head kick.

Haynes tries to work over Baker's front leg with a kick but Baker checks it. Haynes moves into the clinch. Haynes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker shoots in and bounces Haynes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Haynes kicks Baker off and gets to his feet. Haynes throws a head kick that misses. Haynes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baker defends it nicely. Baker tries to counter with a clinch but Haynes shakes him off and moves away. Haynes is breathing heavily. Haynes tries to clinch but Baker is having none of it. Baker shoots for a takedown but Haynes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Baker moves into the clinch successfully.
Baker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haynes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Baker just stands there and leans against the cage. Baker pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Baker keeping moving, preventing Haynes from controlling successfully. Baker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haynes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Baker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Baker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sean Baker will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Haynes misses with a head kick.
Baker tries to counter by closing the distance. Baker shoots for a takedown but Haynes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Baker tries to land a front kick but Haynes steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Haynes is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Baker. Haynes rushes Baker and presses him up against the cage. Baker takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Sean Baker has been cut. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Haynes breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Haynes bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haynes dives in and grabs Baker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baker pushes down on Haynes's head and hops out. Baker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haynes defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Baker is predictable there and Haynes counters with a straight right hand. Haynes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Haynes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baker, pushing him back against the cage. Haynes jumps guard but Baker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Haynes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Haynes throws a head kick but Baker moves out of range.
Haynes tries to close the distance and clinch but Baker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Baker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Haynes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Haynes. Rojesterman Haynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Baker. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker looking for a takedown. Haynes manages to break the clinch.
Haynes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Baker can do to turn this around? Haynes has his takedown stuffed and Baker moves into the clinch. Haynes being controlled against the cage. Haynes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Baker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Haynes circles away from the clinch attempt.

Haynes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Baker. Haynes went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Baker with a poor takedown and Haynes counters with a two punch combo. Haynes keeps the fight on the outside. Haynes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Baker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Haynes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haynes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Baker doesn't manage to clinch there - Haynes circles away.
Haynes misses with a leg kick. Haynes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Baker to score an easy takedown into full guard. Baker trying to control but Haynes is working from the bottom. Haynes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Baker works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rojesterman Haynes dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Sean Baker's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Baker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Baker tries to stand but can't do so whilst Haynes controls his leg. Haynes moves into full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A head kick misses from Baker. Haynes is looking to clinch but Baker is avoiding it.
Baker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Haynes defends well and Baker ends up having to push Haynes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Haynes tries to clinch there but Baker circles away.
Rojesterman Haynes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Haynes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Baker throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Haynes prevents Baker from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker has his foot on Haynes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haynes works his way back into a safe position though. Baker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Haynes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baker on the ground. Baker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Haynes being controlled here momentarily. Haynes throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker pulls Haynes in to control the position. Baker is trying to keep Haynes in close.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Baker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haynes was well out of range. Poor timing from Baker. Haynes blocks a low kick nicely. Haynes keeps the fight on the outside. Haynes stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Haynes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Haynes shoots in and drives through. Baker sprawls well. Baker instigates a clinch. Haynes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Baker regains guard immediately. Baker is looking for a triangle but Haynes pushes his legs off easily.
Haynes trying to control the position from guard on top but Baker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Sean Baker. I think Baker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
