Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 23316 p4p, 2478 weight class) and Ryota Fukado (ranked 0 p4p, 257 weight class). Ryota Fukado has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kulata Bitok's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 77 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryota Fukado!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fukado moves into range and clinches up with Bitok.

Fukado is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bitok is trying to maintain the position but Fukado is very close to passing his half guard.

Fukado thows a huge punch but Bitok dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fukado wants to free his trapped foot but Bitok is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Fukado is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Bitok tries to lock up and control but Fukado gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Fukado takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fukado lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fukado lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fukado has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fukado breaks from Bitok's wrist control and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bitok knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fukado on the ground.
It looks like Fukado might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fukado is continuing to stall.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ryota Fukado dominated that round.
That's time! Bitok's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fukado fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bitok has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bitok stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bitok wants it to stay on the feet.
Ryota Fukado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fukado shoots for a takedown but Bitok saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fukado looks for a takedown but Bitok sprawls well.
And Bitok counters with a quick kick to the body but Fukado blocks it.
Kulata Bitok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryota Fukado.

Fukado fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bitok sprawls well initially but Fukado persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fukado connects with a nice short shot to Bitok's temple.
Fukado stalling.
Bitok is looking to control Fukado's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bitok avoid being mounted?
Fukado is taking a breather. Bitok says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Fukado is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fukado landing strikes from the mount and Bitok is in trouble!
Fukado has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fukado looking to control and managing it successfully.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

BOOM! Fukado connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Fukado looking to finish Bitok with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bitok!

Fukado working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Bitok turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Fukado off and cradles Bitok's limp body as Fukado celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ryota Fukado!
