Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23308 p4p, 23262 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 66 - 14, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 60 - 55 - 13, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sapi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sapi stuffs the takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet.
Sapi steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

It appears Mibangon was looking to counter with a kick there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mibangon shoots for a takedown but Sapi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sapi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mibangon defends well and Sapi ends up having to push Mibangon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mibangon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sapi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Mibangon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sapi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Mibangon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sapi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mibangon tries to avoid it but Sapi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mibangon to the ground. Mibangon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Sapi blocks it.
Sapi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mibangon to score an easy takedown into full guard.

A nice side step and Sapi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
