Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 25060 p4p, 23354 weight class) and Tapad Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daerji has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Xi Daerji had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 81 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daerji misses with a takedown attempt
and Amiga counters with a nice body kick.
Daerji is breathing heavily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Amiga enables Daerji to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amiga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Daerji shoots in but no luck this time.
Amiga is trying to counter with his kicks.
Amiga goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Daerji throws a body shot but no joy.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daerji sprawls well. Daerji wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.
Daerji seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daerji is defended easily by Amiga.

Amiga looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Daerji throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Amiga's waist but Amiga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daerji off to one side.

Amiga wants to lay and pray for a moment but Daerji keeps working.

Amiga lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Amiga content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Daerji is trying hard to land a takedown here. Amiga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Amiga steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daerji pinned against the cage. Daerji gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Xi Daerji will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Daerji manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Amiga has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Daerji after a bit of a struggle.

Amiga closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Amiga wants to stand but Daerji has his arm trapped.
