Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashima Izanagi!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izanagi throws a head kick that misses.
Van Bommel went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Van Bommel misses with a hook. Izanagi ducked under it nicely.
Van Bommel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Izanagi.
Takashima Izanagi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Izanagi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Izanagi tries to bum rush Van Bommel with a series of wild strikes but Van Bommel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Van Bommel rushes Izanagi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Van Bommel pulls Izanagi into guard.
Izanagi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Bommel is keeping the position for now.
Izanagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Bommel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Izanagi works over Van Bommel with some ground and pound from guard.
Van Bommel seems keen to control Izanagi's posture.

Izanagi throws a big elbow that misses.
Izanagi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Van Bommel looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Izanagi puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Van Bommel is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Izanagi looking to control but Van Bommel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Van Bommel is desperately trying to improve his position but Izanagi has a good base and remains in mount.

Van Bommel is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Izanagi is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Izanagi has isolated one of Van Bommel's arms. Van Bommel looking to fight him off but Izanagi twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
