Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kouassi Fofano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Walter Strickland!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Strickland.
Strickland fakes the leg kick and cracks Fofano in the body.
Strickland clinches up with Fofano and pushes him back against the cage.
Strickland struggles to land a body shot inside as Fofano controls his hands.
Fofano tries to pull guard but Strickland won't allow it.
Fofano ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fofano no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fofano has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Strickland should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fofano has tightened it up now! Strickland should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kouassi Fofano!
