Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Markoo Oksanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Navin Haynes!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Haynes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Haynes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Haynes throws a right and a left that Oksanen avoids nicely.
Oksanen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Haynes eats them both and turns towards Oksanen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Navin Haynes has been cut.
Oksanen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Oksanen lands with a shot to the body.
Oksanen's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Oksanen duly obliges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Haynes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Oksanen.
Haynes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Oksanen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oksanen is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Oksanen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oksanen gets in close and tags Haynes with a short punch that almost sends Haynes to the mat! Oh Haynes is in big trouble! He turns his back on Oksanen, trying to create some distance but Oksanen rushes him, striking wildly and Haynes goes down! The referee tackles Oksanen into the cage to end the fight! Oksanen is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Markoo Oksanen!
