And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angelo Martinez!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castaneda throws a lazy right hand but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martinez changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Castaneda throws a hook but Martinez blocks it.
Castaneda throws an overhand right that lands on Martinez's shoulder, as Martinez tries to avoid the shot.
Castaneda misses with a straight left.
Castaneda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Angelo Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Martinez slips under a jab from Castaneda.
A telegraphed right hand from Castaneda misses the target.
Castaneda misses with a looping right.
Martinez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Castaneda throws out the jab.

Martinez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Martinez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Martinez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Martinez is chipping away with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martinez works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Martinez advances to mount.
Martinez throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Castaneda blocking the ground and pound.
Martinez thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Castaneda on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Castaneda tries to get out of the position.
Martinez landing strikes, looking to finish!
Martinez cracks Castaneda with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Castaneda is rocked!
Martinez drops a big elbow. That's hurt Castaneda! More shots from Martinez and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
