Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Poole (ranked 3880 p4p, 25052 weight class) and Wilfredo Eduardo Moreno (ranked 414 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilfredo Eduardo Moreno told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Poole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wilfredo Eduardo Moreno!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreno looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Poole wants to stand but Moreno is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poole wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Moreno manages to pass to side control.
Moreno seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Poole looks like he's trying to stand up.
Moreno stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Poole to get to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poole tries to clinch up
and Moreno counters with a takedown into side control.
Poole tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Moreno scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Moreno is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The referee is taking a good look at Poole as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Moreno!
Poole is trying to stand back up.
Moreno is working for a rear naked choke. Poole is not defending it well and Moreno has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Poole refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Poole's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Wilfredo Eduardo Moreno!
