Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Walay Buut (ranked 23332 p4p, 23364 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 67 - 56 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 44 - 80 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Buut showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Buut has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang tries to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buut controls the pace. Buut throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kiang holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kiang sprawls well. Kiang wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buut gets slowly back to his feet. And Kiang responds with a good body kick, but Buut manages to step out the way in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut misses with the body kick and Kiang counters with a nice kick to the body. Buut throws a front kick that sends Kiang stumbling back into the cage. Horrible takedown attempt by Kiang or perhaps it was just good defense by Buut, which made it look bad. Buut drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kiang is looking to stand back up but Buut counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kiang.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang controlling the position well. Buut missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kiang keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kiang landing rabbit punches to the side of Buut's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Buut sitting and controlling from the half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang has his hands clasped together around Buut's back. He's all about the action. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Kiang looks for a takedown but Buut sprawls well. Buut gets caught napping as Kiang dives in and scores a takedown. Buut manages to retain guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut wants to sweep here but Kiang controlling him for the moment. Kiang seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut controlling the position. Buut continues to stall. Buut can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kiang controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kiang is looking to work some ground and pound but Buut has wrist control. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kiang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kiang working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang slows the pace down. Buut holding on. Kiang trying to control the action but Buut is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buut tries to bench press Kiang off him but Kiang keeps the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kiang content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut shoots in for a takedown but Kiang shows good takedown defense. Kiang is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Kiang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Buut avoids it really well and circles away. Buut is looking to counter with a body kick. Buut fails with the takedown. Kiang replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buut blocks it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kiang is defended easily by Buut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buut preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiang sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Kiang is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut is holding on to half guard well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buut misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck with that takedown attempt from Kiang.
And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kiang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
