Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23346 p4p, 23107 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 50 - 69 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 35 - 88 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Salvacion is looking for the big counter here. Salvacion moves out of range of the body kick. Amiga with a lazy takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a body kick that stops Amiga in his tracks momentarily. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Amiga as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Salvacion is pulling down on Amiga's head. It's preventing any offense from Amiga, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga wants to pass the guard but Salvacion is keeping the position. Salvacion is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Salvacion wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Amiga is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Amiga fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga misses with an attempted mid kick.
Amiga gets caught napping as Salvacion dives in and scores a takedown. Amiga manages to retain guard. Amiga wants to sweep but no luck. Salvacion is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. It looks like Salvacion might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion preventing the sweep. Amiga trying to control the position here. Salvacion seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Amiga shoots in but no luck this time. Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Amiga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amiga off to one side. Salvacion has a takedown stuffed. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Amiga did well to prevent Salvacion getting side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga controlling the position well. Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Amiga trying to control here.
Salvacion is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Salvacion is thwarting Amiga's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion stops Amiga from getting back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice sprawl there from Salvacion as Amiga shoots in. Salvacion tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salvacion fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvacion sprawls well. Salvacion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Amiga's guard. Amiga has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Salvacion is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Amiga is working for takedown but Salvacion is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga has hold of one of Salvacion's legs. Salvacion is fighting the takedown attempt but Amiga gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Salvacion not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga controlling from the top position. Amiga trying to control but Salvacion is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Salvacion is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Amiga won't allow Salvacion to sweep him here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Salvacion darts in looking for a takedown but Amiga gets double underhooks and turns Salvacion into the cage. Amiga has a takedown stuffed.

Gakus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Clifford Val Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Amiga is looking to regain half guard here but Salvacion keeps moving and retains side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here as Salvacion stalls from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gakus Amiga. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
