Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joao Wendell (ranked 3813 p4p, 3838 weight class) and Mandala Perkasa (ranked 0 p4p, 428 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joao Wendell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mandala Perkasa!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkasa on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wendell. Wendell obviously looking to wear him down.
A nice leg kick from Wendell, right into the meat of the thigh.
Perkasa gets a double leg takedown into Wendell's guard.
Perkasa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wendell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wendell working for a triangle but Perkasa defends it easily.
Perkasa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Perkasa wants to control from the top but Wendell keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wendell looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wendell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wendell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perkasa is one step ahead there.
Wendell keeping moving, preventing Perkasa from controlling successfully.

Perkasa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Perkasa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perkasa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Perkasa is working to tighten his grip on Wendell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Wendell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Perkasa is really squeezing tight and eventually Wendell passes out! Perkasa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
