Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thierry Medza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Flynn!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Medza enables Flynn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Medza manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Flynn throwing strikes from guard but Medza blocks nicely.
Medza is looking to stand up but Flynn isn't so interested in that idea.
Flynn distracts Medza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Flynn scoring with some ground and pound.
Flynn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Medza works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Medza avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Medza is trying to control the position but Flynn postures up.
Flynn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flynn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flynn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Medza avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Flynn cracks Medza with a solid left hand.
Flynn distracts Medza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Flynn lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Medza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flynn on the ground.
Flynn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Flynn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Medza's head.
Flynn slips nicely into half guard.
Medza is trying to stand.
Medza is breathing heavily.
Flynn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flynn connects with a nice short shot to Medza's temple.
Flynn is nestled in close to Medza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Flynn is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flynn connects with a nice short shot to Medza's temple.

Medza is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Xtreme Fighting Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Flynn working over Medza with some ground and pound. Medza looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Flynn scores with a big shot! Medza's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Medza! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
