Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mursk Apuro (ranked 483 p4p, 771 weight class) and Piston Honda Jr (ranked 58 p4p, 91 weight class). Honda Jr has chosen Punch Out Theme as his entrance music. Piston Honda Jr will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Piston Honda Jr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda Jr looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Apuro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Honda Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Honda Jr takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Honda Jr fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Apuro checks it well.
Apuro throws a hook but Honda Jr avoids it easily.
Apuro misses with a body shot
enabling Honda Jr to counter with a crisp jab.
Apuro looks to land a right hand but Honda Jr moved out of range.
Apuro lands a jab to the head.
Honda Jr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Honda Jr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Honda Jr lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Apuro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Honda Jr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Apuro is looking to take a break and control but Honda Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Apuro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Honda Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Apuro is trying to control the action in half guard but Honda Jr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Apuro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's time! Apuro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Apuro fails in his attempt to clinch.
It seemed like Honda Jr was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Honda Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Apuro on the side of the head.
Apuro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Apuro connects with a crisp jab.
Apuro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Apuro avoids the head kick by Honda Jr.
Apuro avoids a kick to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - Honda Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Apuro darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Apuro throws a hook to the side of Honda Jr's head but Honda Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Apuro missing with a left hand there. Honda Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Honda Jr! But no joy.
Apuro fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Honda Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mursk Apuro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Apuro throws a body shot but no joy.

Apuro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Honda Jr sprawls well initially but Apuro persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Apuro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Apuro frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Honda Jr tries to reverse the position but Apuro maintains control.

Apuro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Honda Jr in real trouble here! The ref calls for Honda Jr to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
