Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jambalaya Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Bond.
Jones lands a nice hook to Bond's body. Bond takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jones throws a jab when Bond was well out of range.
Bond misses with a kick to the body.
Bond tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jones is able to avoid easily.
Jones swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Matt Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bond turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bond misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones throws out a counter right but Bond avoids it with no problem.
Bond throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bond.
Bond throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jones only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Bond will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bond is looking to score with low kicks.
Bond throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.
Jones doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Bond misses with a combination
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.
Bond throws a head kick that misses.
Bond lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bond misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Jones releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Bond defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bond with the inside leg kick.
Bond lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bond thows a leg kick but Jones checks it
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Bond is rocked!
Bond throws a leg kick
and Jones scores with a counter punch that sends Bond to the canvas! Jones smells blood - he's punishing Bond with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bond has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jambalaya Jones!
