Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Hardman (ranked 3090 p4p, 4150 weight class) and Dharya Bhate (ranked 262 p4p, 321 weight class). Bhate is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Diwali Madness. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bruce Hardman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dharya Bhate! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bhate lands a right hook to the body.
Hardman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bruce Hardman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bhate lands a slapping body shot.
Bhate takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bhate's corner calls for a 1-2. Bhate obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hardman connects with the punch. Bhate slips a jab from Hardman. Hardman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hardman misses with the combination.
Bhate throws out a counter right but Hardman avoids it with no problem. Bhate takes one on the button. Hardman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bhate moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bhate fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hardman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bhate counters with a right hand to the body. Hardman misses with a straight right. Bhate scores with a jab. Bhate takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hardman drops his hands momentarily and Bhate takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Bhate. Hardman does a little dance to reset his feet. A shot to the liver by Bhate. Beautiful body shot. Jab by Hardman. Bhate lands a jab to Hardman's midsection. Bhate takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bhate with a nice cross. Bhate throws the left hand but Hardman avoids the punch easily. Bhate misses with a hook. Hardman ducked under it nicely. Bhate misses with an uppercut. Hardman saw that one coming. Bhate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hardman manages to avoid it. Hardman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Hardman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Bhate defending well as Hardman loads up on a big left hand.
Bhate gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hardman to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hardman trying to control but Bhate is working from the bottom.

Hardman passes the guard and advances to mount! Bhate is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Hardman takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hardman looking for the RNC. Hardman tries to get the hooks in deep but Bhate pushed the leg off. I really don't envy Bhate right now.
Hardman is trying to stick to Bhate's back but Bhate is turning into Hardman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hardman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bhate.
Hardman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bhate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bhate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bhate is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bhate drops back looking for a leg! Hardman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardman manages to kick Bhate off! Bhate jumps back into Hardman's guard.
Hardman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bhate avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bhate is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hardman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hardman has escaped and now he's on top!

Hardman is pushing down on Bhate's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bhate is fighting to maintain full guard but Hardman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bhate looking for a kimura from the bottom but Hardman passes into side control! Bhate is trying to get back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hardman taking a breather here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Hardman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Bhate walks into a jab. Hardman misses with a wild combination.
Bhate thuds his right hand into Hardman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Bhate avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hardman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bhate sprawls well initially but Hardman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bhate is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bhate is not content to let Hardman control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bhate felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

and Bhate makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Bhate throws a big shot that misses. Bhate looks to throw the jab but Hardman is out of range. Hardman missing with a left hand there. Bhate was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bhate! But no joy. Bhate lands with a hook. Hardman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hardman fails with the takedown. A little jabbing left from Bhate on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hardman shoots in and bounces Bhate off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
