Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jakup Idrizaj (ranked 25613 p4p, 5040 weight class) and Ali Shukur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ali Shukur was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jakup Idrizaj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ali Shukur!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shukur darts in looking for a takedown but Idrizaj gets double underhooks and turns Shukur into the cage.
Idrizaj is looking for a counter combo.
Shukur dives in and scores a takedown into Idrizaj's guard.

and Idrizaj counters with a series of strikes. Shukur will be more careful next time no doubt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Shukur looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shukur shoots in and drives through. Idrizaj sprawls well.

Ali Shukur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shukur shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Idrizaj's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shukur is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shukur lands a nice short elbow.

A big strike lands for Shukur! That's really hurt Idrizaj and he's turned his back - Shukur keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shukur jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ali Shukur!
Ali Shukur spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
