Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bogdan Volkov (ranked 987 p4p, 18838 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 128 p4p, 539 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bogdan Volkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 38 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andor Kovacs! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volkov throws a hook but Kovacs blocks it. Kovacs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A left lands for Volkov. Volkov cracks Kovacs with a right hand to the side of the head. Kovacs missing with a left hand there. Volkov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kovacs walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Volkov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kovacs wants to counter with a clinch but Volkov pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkov blocks a head kick by Kovacs.
Volkov misses with a straight right. Kovacs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Volkov cracks Kovacs with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Volkov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kovacs to stand back up!
 Kovacs is rocked!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kovacs wants to clinch. Kovacs is still on wobbly legs! Can Volkov finish him? Kovacs lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Kovacs seems to have recovered his senses.
 It looks like Bogdan Volkov has been cut.
Kovacs closes the distance and clinches.
Volkov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kovacs connects with a right hand. Volkov shakes it off. Kovacs wants to clinch up but Volkov keeps it at a distance. Kovacs stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Volkov. Volkov tries to bum rush Kovacs with a series of wild strikes but Kovacs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kovacs tries to counter with a clinch but Volkov shakes him off and moves away.
Kovacs pushes Volkov up against the cage in a clinch.
Volkov breaks from the clinch.
Volkov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Outlier Martial Arts New York in the buildup to the fight.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovacs throws a head kick but Volkov moves out of range.

and Volkov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kovacs! Volkov lets Kovacs back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kovacs misses with a head kick.
Kovacs misses with an uppercut
and Volkov rattles Kovacs with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kovacs tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Volkov dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kovacs stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bogdan Volkov! Andor Kovacs spoke after the fight, saying 'Tnough lost , i want bum phillps next'.
