Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Ertman (ranked 1553 p4p, 2510 weight class) and Will Bond (ranked 139 p4p, 211 weight class). Will Bond has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erwin Ertman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Bond! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bond ducks under a wild hook from Ertman. Ertman throws a body punch but Bond moves out of range. Bond feints the counter takedown. Bond throws a lazy right hand but Ertman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ertman takes a swing at Bond's ribcage but misses. Bond thinks about the counter body kick. Bond throws a series of punches but Ertman moves out of range. Ertman was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ertman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Bond steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ertman. Bond changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ertman swats away the attempt to clinch by Bond. An attempted straight right counter from Ertman misses the target. Ertman misses the shot to the body. Ertman sets himself, and Bond steps forward looking for the clinch! Ertman avoids it this time.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ertman misses with a body shot.

Ertman connects with a right hand. Bond shakes it off. Ertman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bond tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Ertman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Erwin Ertman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ertman throws a big shot that misses. Ertman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Ertman throws a body shot but no joy. And Bond tries to counter it with a takedown but Ertman pushes his down on his head and steps out.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ertman slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ertman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ertman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bond on the side of the head. Ertman just misses with a punch to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bond moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ertman lands a big right hand that sends Bond crashing to the mat! Ertman stays standing though and waves Bond back to his feet!
 Bond is rocked! Ertman throws a body punch but Bond moves out of range. Bond is still on wobbly legs! Can Ertman finish him? Ertman misses the shot to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Ertman misses its intended target. Bond seems to have recovered his senses. Bond keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bond feints the counter takedown. Bond on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ertman cracks Bond with an open hand slap. Ertman tests Bond's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bond looks to land a combination but Ertman avoids it well. A looping hook to the body misses from Ertman. Bond does a little dance to reset his feet. Bond looks like he wants to counter punch here. Ertman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bond.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ertman throws the left hand but Bond avoids the punch easily. Bond drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ertman defends it well. A big right from Ertman misses. Bond shoots in for a takedown but Ertman shows good takedown defense. Ertman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bond was well out of range. Erwin Ertman dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Erwin Ertman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bond ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bond feints the counter takedown. and Bond decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ertman's guard. Ertman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ertman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bond is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bond forces his way into half guard. Bond controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bond in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ertman tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bond!
