Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obi Konbi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konbi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, underoath-a fault line a fault of mine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert tries to score a power double leg takedown but Konbi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lambert somewhat.
Lambert works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Obi Konbi has been cut.

Lambert decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Konbi wants to get back to his feet.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lambert lands a nice short elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Konbi, as that shot connected.

It looks like Cody Lambert has been cut.
Lambert has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lambert throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Konbi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lambert misses with a double jab
and Konbi counters with a two punch combo.
A left and a right from Konbi both land. Nice combination.

and Konbi counters with a stiff right hand.

Obi Konbi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Lambert.
Konbi lands with a nice body punch.
Konbi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That has opened up Cody Lambert's cut even more.
Obi Konbi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Konbi digs a good hook to Lambert's body.
Konbi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lambert on the side of the head.

Konbi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Konbi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Konbi lands a hook that stumbles Lambert back into the cage. Konbi follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Lambert to the canvas! Konbi pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Lambert has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
