Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Estevan Martinez (ranked 2148 p4p, 2983 weight class) and Seung Ho Park (ranked 192 p4p, 263 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Seung Ho Park was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seung Ho Park!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Martinez pushes Park back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Park.
Park tries a body shot but Martinez blocks it.
Park keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Martinez's efforts to push away.

Our sources have told us that Martinez has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Park lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Martinez scores with a nice hook to the head.

Martinez tries to keep at a distance but Park has taken the fight into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Park is trying to trip Martinez. He has hold of a leg but Martinez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Park persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Park closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Park pushes Martinez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Martinez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Park closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Park lands in his opponent's guard.

Park wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Martinez's closed guard. He's half up but Martinez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Martinez pivots and extends the arm, Park falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Martinez! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Estevan Martinez!
Estevan Martinez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
