Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harold Sharp (ranked 3798 p4p, 3843 weight class) and Leonel Esperanza (ranked 0 p4p, 292 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonel Esperanza!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp with a poor takedown
and Esperanza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Leonel Esperanza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Esperanza misses with the combination.
Esperanza pushes Sharp up against the cage in a clinch.
Esperanza manages to break the clinch.
Sharp shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Esperanza as he avoids it easily.
Esperanza fails to land with a series of punches.
Esperanza displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sharp.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harold Sharp. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Esperanza misses with a looping right.
Esperanza throws a sloppy head kick and Sharp moves out of range easily.
Sharp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Esperanza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sharp somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sharp showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Esperanza.
Esperanza misses the jab.
Sharp looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Esperanza is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sharp closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Esperanza quickly recovers to half guard.
Sharp takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sharp throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sharp not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Esperanza is trying to stand.
Esperanza kicks off Sharp and gets to his feet.
Esperanza tries to clinch but Sharp is having none of it.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nice body punch from Esperanza - that landed with a thud.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sharp.
Sharp misses with some punches.
Esperanza prevents the takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Esperanza manages to break the clinch.
Esperanza gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sharp has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Esperanza after a bit of a struggle.
Sharp is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Esperanza lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Esperanza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Esperanza looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Esperanza stalks Sharp and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sharp's face. Sharp staggers backwards, shaken.
Esperanza scores with a sloppy right hand. Sharp should have avoided that one.
Esperanza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sharp swivels and escapes.
Esperanza lands a glancing blow to the side of Sharp's head.
Esperanza lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Sharp takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice sprawl there from Esperanza as Sharp shoots in.
Esperanza with the counter takedown but Sharp avoids it easily.
Esperanza moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Esperanza fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sharp looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Esperanza smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sharp is rocked!
Sharp is holding his hands too far apart here. Esperanza throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Sharp is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leonel Esperanza!
