Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronan Darongo (ranked 551 p4p, 832 weight class) and Nikora Tama (ranked 78 p4p, 108 weight class). Darongo comes to the cage accompanied by Chaos And Destruction. Tama has chosen Haka War Dance as his entrance music. Ronan Darongo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronan Darongo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikora Tama! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Darongo misses. Tama throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Darongo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
 It looks like Nikora Tama has been cut.
Tama drives through with a takedown into guard. Tama trying to control but Darongo is working from the bottom. Darongo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tama loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tama sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Darongo's guard. Tama working the head and body with strikes. Tama throwing shots but Darongo is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tama missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tama wants to free his trapped foot but Darongo is holding on for dear life with his legs. Darongo is looking to control Tama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Darongo avoid being mounted? Darongo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tama thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Darongo's head. Darongo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tama is working away from the top position though. Tama trying to control the action but Darongo is working from the bottom. Darongo has hold of Tama's hands but Tama slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Tama frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Darongo can't escape the position.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tama misses with a head shot. Darongo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tama.
Tama with shots to the head and body - Darongo looks very uncomfortable down there. Tama takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Darongo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Tama.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Poor strikes thrown by Tama there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Tama is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Darongo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Darongo shrugs it off. Tama breaks from Darongo's wrist control and lands an elbow. Poor strikes thrown by Tama there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Darongo just holding on.
Tama is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Darongo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Darongo! Tama throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tama is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nikora Tama dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikora Tama's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Darongo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Darongo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tama decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tama missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Nikora Tama has got the better of the ground game so far. Tama thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Darongo's head. Darongo has his hands clasped together around Tama's back. He's all about the action. Darongo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tama. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tama seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tama thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Darongo's head. Tama performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Darongo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tama throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Darongo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tama. Tama is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Tama throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darongo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tama tries to free his leg and advance position but Darongo is retaining full guard. Tama is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tama's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Darongo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Darongo pulls Tama in close to prevent any damage. Darongo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tama trying to control but Darongo is working from the bottom. Darongo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tama with a flurry of punches that miss. Tama passes Darongo's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tama working over Darongo with some ground and pound. Darongo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Tama is looking to pass Darongo's guard but actually Darongo recovers to full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Darongo keeping moving, preventing Tama from controlling successfully. Tama controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tama wants to control from the top but Darongo keeps moving. Tama trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tama throwing strikes but missing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tama missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tama is looking to work some ground and pound but Darongo has wrist control.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Darongo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tama on the side of the head. Darongo misses with a body kick.
Tama closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tama is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Darongo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tama wants to control but Darongo is keeping him busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tama working the ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikora Tama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nikora Tama's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Darongo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ronan Darongo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tama shoots for a takedown but Darongo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Darongo is looking to land body kicks.
Tama throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Darongo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tama is in Darongo's guard. Tama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Darongo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Darongo wants to sweep here but Tama controlling him for the moment. Tama pushes down on Darongo's leg and manages to get into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tama looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Tama slows the pace down in half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tama is stalling here. Darongo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Tama seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Darongo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Tama is looking to reverse the position. Tama has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Darongo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Tama's legs. Tama tries to buck Darongo off but Darongo is having none of it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tama sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Tama is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Darongo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Darongo's back! Tama missing with strikes from the back. Tama misses with an elbow to the head.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tama is looking to control Darongo but Darongo is wriggling around and keeping busy. Tama scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Tama is riding his opponent, not letting Darongo buck him off. Tama landing with strikes. Tama thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Tama punches the canvas rather than the man. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Darongo covers up after that shot from Tama.
Tama lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Tama.
Tama tries to get the hooks in deep but Darongo pushed the leg off.

Tama is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Darongo is defending well though. Tama let's go of the attempt for now. Tama scores with punches from the back.

Darongo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tama gets his way!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tama is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Darongo is tapping out! This one is all over!
