The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Point tries to buck Spartan off but Spartan is having none of it. Spartan trying to control the position but Point is working away. The ground and pound from Spartan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Point is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Point wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Spartan has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Point's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Point is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Spartan!
