Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Bean (ranked 2551 p4p, 3339 weight class) and Jack Lawson (ranked 306 p4p, 390 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mr Bean has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mr Bean seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mr Bean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Lawson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean instigates a clinch.
Bean lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bean not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lawson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lawson wants to improve his position but Bean is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lawson works his way to full guard. Good work. Bean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bean missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bean throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lawson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bean. We've been hearing that Bean has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Bean controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Bean is looking to work some ground and pound but Lawson has wrist control.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bean instigates a clinch. Lawson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bean wants the takedown. Lawson is fighting it off but Bean persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lawson's guard against the cage. Lawson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bean dives into side control.
Lawson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ground and pound from Bean seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Bean lands a few punches from side control. Lawson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bean working Lawson over with strikes. Bean working the head and body with strikes.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bean lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lawson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bean. Bean thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bean controlling the action here. Bean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bean slows the pace down in half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bean takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bean trying to control the pace. Lawson is looking to improve his position.
Bean throwing shots but Lawson is blocking nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bean throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bean with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Bean dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Bean has picked Lawson up - he's going for a ride! Bean dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Bean takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bean lands strikes from half guard. Lawson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bean. Bean working the head and body with strikes. Bean throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bean connects with a nice short shot to Lawson's temple. Is there anything that Lawson can do to turn this around?
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bean content to control rather than advance.
Bean is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lawson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Bean working over Lawson with some ground and pound. Lawson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bean with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lawson has hold of Bean's hands but Bean slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bean landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Lawson trying to control from the bottom.
Lawson is not content to let Bean control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bean lands a nice short elbow. Bean trying to control from half guard but Lawson is working away. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bean in particular looking to stall.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bean fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lawson, pushing him back against the cage.
Bean pulls guard effortlessly. Lawson stops Bean from standing up. Bean throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bean holds on and takes a little breather. Bean looking to control.
Lawson looking to sit in guard and control but Bean gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
 Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bean wants to control from the top but Lawson keeps moving. Bean is looking to work some ground and pound but Lawson has wrist control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Bean dominated that second round. That's time! Bean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Bean loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Our spies down at at Roosters Coop inform us that Lawson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Bean scoring with punches to the head and body. Bean is looking to work some ground and pound but Lawson has wrist control. Bean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lawson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bean looking to pass the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lawson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bean throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lawson's head.
Lawson tries to keep at a distance but Bean has taken the fight into the clinch.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bean has clasped his hands together around Lawson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Lawson wants to get back to his feet but Bean is dominant here and he's now got Lawson's back! Lawson tries to break free.
Bean just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bean's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Lawson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bean lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Lawson.
Will Bean go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Mr Bean is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bean biding his time, controlling Lawson.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lawson covering up well under a series of strikes from Bean. Good control from Bean. Bean avoiding Lawson 's attempts to control his hands. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bean just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Mr Bean showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bean has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
