Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prkl shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sommer eats them both and turns towards Prkl to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Prkl rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sommer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Sommer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Prkl's coach down at Strength Beyond Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prkl's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Prkl is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sommer had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

A determined Ispa Prkl didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
