Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Huerta (ranked 2765 p4p, 2753 weight class) and Matthew Michael Kirby (ranked 314 p4p, 313 weight class). Huerta comes to the cage accompanied by Hotel California. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Huerta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Michael Kirby!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby looks to throw the jab but Huerta is out of range.
Kirby throws a leg kick
and Huerta counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Matthew Michael Kirby has been cut.
Kirby wants to land a leg kick but Huerta is out of range.
Kirby scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Huerta paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kirby takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A combination from Huerta does no damage.
Nice defenses there by Kirby.
Huerta feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Huerta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kirby's guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Huerta seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kirby for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kirby can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kirby works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kirby can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Huerta controls the pace.
Huerta passes into half guard.
Huerta is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kirby!

Huerta takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kirby is controlling an arm, preventing Huerta from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Huerta goes for an armbar but Kirby turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kirby.
Kirby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huerta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Huerta looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kirby trying to control but Huerta is working from the bottom.

Kirby with a flurry of punches that miss.

Huerta looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kirby trying to control the position from guard on top but Huerta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Huerta holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Huerta looking for subs off his back but Kirby has passed one foot through into half guard.
Huerta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Huerta preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Huerta is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Kirby is tapping! Great win for Huerta!
